Judas Priest – On Track

Back in 2013 I wrote a book on Judas Priest for IMP for their ‘The Early Years...’ series, but unfortunately it never saw the light of day as the publisher was taken over by another company and the book was handed back to me where it lay, unloved, on my hard drive.

Fast-forward to 2018, and Sonicbond expressed an interest in it, so I started to remix – and then rewrite – the original manuscript, adding new material to take it up to ‘Painkiller’ (the original book ended at ‘British Steel’). The result is ‘Judas Priest – On Track’. The book examines the band’s first fourteen albums track by track, with comments from various people in the know including the late, great Chris Tsangarides, whose first break came when he worked on the ‘Sad Wings Of Destiny’ album sessions.
